How do I charge a Tesla in an apartment?

I live in an apartment complex and am thinking about getting a Tesla. A lot of people have been telling me this is a bad idea, saying it’s impossible to have an electric car while living in an apartment complex. Is it really impossible?

Owning an electric car like a
Tesla
and living in an apartment complex is not an impossibility.
The first thing you want to do is talk to your apartment complex to see if they have any charging set up.
You might not be the only one with an electric car as more and more people are getting them. They may be willing to set something up if you explain the benefits for them.
If possible, also see if your work offers charging for electric cars. Then instead of charging overnight, it’ll be charging while you’re working.
If for some reason neither of these are possible then you’re going to want to locate fast-charging stations.
Look for them near the following locations:
  • Your work (is there one nearby you can walk from?)
  • Your favorite restaurants
  • Grocery stores or malls you frequent
  • Movie theaters
  • Your gym
Essentially, look anywhere you might be busy doing something else with your car outside waiting for you. While it waits it can charge. It might require a bit more logistics but you should be able to pull it off.
If you aren’t able to charge at home it might give you some peace of mind to have roadside assistance. With the
Jerry
app you can get access to a roadside assistance membership so that you’re never left stranded.
