How do I change the name on my car insurance?

Can you change your name on a car insurance policy? I got married last month and I'm in the process of changing my name on bank accounts and other similar things.

“To change the name on your car insurance policy after you get married, first update your name with the Social Security Administration.
Then, contact your car insurance provider or browse their website for specifics on how to change your name on your policy. The insurer will likely require a copy of your marriage certificate, new Social Security card, and/or updated driver’s license.
While you’re at it, consider adding your spouse to your current auto insurance policy (or joining theirs) or looking into a multi-vehicle discount to save money.
The Jerry app can help. A licensed broker, Jerry does all the hard work of finding the cheapest quotes from the top name-brand insurance companies and buying new car insurance—and will even help you cancel your old policy.”
