Can you change your name on a car insurance policy? I got married last month and I'm in the process of changing my name on bank accounts and other similar things.

Then, contact your

provider or browse their website for specifics on how to change your name on your policy. The insurer will likely require a copy of your marriage certificate, new Social Security card, and/or updated driver’s license.While you’re at it, consider adding your spouse to your current auto insurance policy (or joining theirs) or looking into a multi-vehicle discount to save money.
