The bulb that lights up my Cadillac’s license plate burned out. This seems like something I can fix at home. How do I change the license plate bulb on a 2005 Cadillac STS?

- First, open the rear compartment lid and remove the trim around the lid.
- Pull back the rear compartment trim panel to gain access to the bulbs.
- Remove the light bulb from the wiring harness.
- Remove any nuts keeping the light bulb assembly in place.
- Replace the old burnt-out bulb with a new one.
If you follow these steps, you should be good to go with your icense plate illuminated once again.
