Luckily, changing the battery in a Honda Accord key fob is very simple, just follow these steps:
  1. Check your owner’s manual to find out what type of battery the key needs, and purchase it from your local auto or retail store.
  2. Release the metal key by pressing and sliding the button on the side of the key fob.
  3. With a flat screwdriver, pry the key fob open.
  4. Remove the old battery and put the new one in its place. Take care to place the battery with the proper terminals facing the right direction.
  5. Press the key fob back together gently.
