How do I change the battery in my Honda key fob? It doesn’t seem to be working, so I’m assuming it’s time to replace the battery.

You’re probably right and it’s time to switch the battery. To change the battery in your
Honda
key fob, follow these easy steps:
  1. Check your owner’s manual or the back of the battery to find out the exact type of battery you’ll need to buy.
  2. Release the valet key hidden inside your key fob by pressing and sliding the button either on the top or bottom of the key fob.
  3. With a flathead screwdriver, pry the key fob apart. Do this carefully to keep the components inside of the key fob from falling out.
  4. Remove the dead battery and remember the position of the negative and positive sides, as the new battery will need to be replaced in the same position.
  5. Put the new battery in and gently close the key fob. Be sure to test the key fob to ensure that it works.
Now that your key fob is functioning properly, take a moment to go over your
