Noticing your headlight dimming is a sign it will burn out soon, so it’s great you’re paying attention! To change a headlight bulb on a 2013
Honda Accord
, you need to:
  1. Park the car on even ground and turn off the ignition.
  2. Access the headlight assembly to remove the bulb. You may need to unfasten the bolts on the battery to have easier access to the headlight assembly.
  3. Locate the connector behind the headlight assembly. This connects to the headlight bulb. Remove the connector by pressing the plastic tabs together.
  4. The bulb will be at a 90-degree angle. To remove it, you need to grab the right angle and turn it counterclockwise.
  5. Put on latex or vinyl gloves to prevent your hands’ natural oils from transferring onto the new replacement bulb. Natural oils can weaken or damage the bulb.
  6. Attach the new bulb into the headlight assembly. Turn it clockwise to secure it in place.
  7. Put everything back in reverse order.
  8. To test the new headlight bulb, start your car. Check that the new bulb is the same strength as your other headlight.
