How do I cancel Aviva car insurance?

I've realized my Aviva insurance no longer works for me, so I'm looking to cancel it. I live in Northern Ireland, and with my car nearing the end of its lifespan, I'm nervous about my insurance not covering roadside assistance in case of breakdowns. How can I cancel my Aviva coverage so I can switch to something that does work for me?

It can be tough to switch providers. Luckily, Aviva has an easy way to cancel your policy online.
Here’s how:
  • Log in to MyAviva
  • Choose your policy > Details > My Policies
  • Choose the policy you’d like to cancel
  • Select Cancel Policy
  • Choose the date you’d like the cancellation to go into effect
  • Accept the declaration of Insurance Certificate Surrender
From there, you’re all set! The page should also alert you to any fees you may owe, or refunds you might be due.
