How do I appeal a car insurance claim denial?
I was in an accident and made a claim, but it got denied. How do I appeal this?

First, it’s a good idea to understand why your claim was denied. It could be because of a lapsed policy, collision with an uninsured motorist, or a lack of sufficient coverage—like if you’re filing a claim for your car but you only have liability insurance). Your

company will send you a letter to explain their decision. If you still feel like the claim was wrongly denied, you can appeal their decision. To do this, collect evidence supporting your claim and send an appeal letter to your carrier. It may be smart to hire a lawyer if you feel like you will have a major challenge with your appeal.
