We’re sorry to hear that! Getting denied from your insurance company after an accident can be really frustrating.
First, it’s a good idea to understand why your claim was denied. It could be because of a lapsed policy, collision with an uninsured motorist, or a lack of sufficient coverage—like if you’re filing a claim for your car but you only have liability insurance). Your
car insurance
company will send you a letter to explain their decision.
If you still feel like the claim was wrongly denied, you can appeal their decision. To do this, collect evidence supporting your claim and send an appeal letter to your carrier. It may be smart to hire a lawyer if you feel like you will have a major challenge with your appeal.
If you’re unhappy with your insurance coverage and looking for a switch, compare policies with
Jerry
. Jerry will contact your insurance company to get the details of your current coverage, so you don’t have to scale a mountain of questions. You get all the best prices and coverage with none of the legwork.
