How do I appeal a car insurance claim decision?

I filed a claim after getting into an accident. My insurance company denied my claim and won't repair the damage. How do I appeal their decision?

Finding out your
claim was denied
is extremely frustrating. However, you can appeal the decision.
To start the appeal process, ask your insurance company for a letter stating why the claim was denied. Having an outline of their decision is important as you can better understand their perspective.
If you still disagree with their decision after receiving the letter, you will want to file a formal dispute. When doing this, you’ll have to provide reasoning as to why the claim should be approved.
If needed, you should hire an attorney and an independent claims adjuster. An independent claims adjuster’s assessment may help your case. An attorney who specializes in claims can help negotiate with your
car insurance
. They can also ensure you’re getting a fair settlement.
If your claim is still denied and you’re not happy with your insurance company, shop around. Use the

app to compare quotes from dozens of insurers so you always get the best rate possible.
