Keeping your handbrake in the right position is a smart way to stay safe in dangerous situations. Plus, it’s easy to adjust! You can follow these steps to adjust the handbrake on your Ford Transit Connect:
Pop off the rubber/vinyl fabric surrounding the base of the handbrake—you may need a screwdriver to complete this step.
Locate the bolt at the base of your handbrake.
Using your wrench, tighten or loosen the bolt according to the adjustment you’d like to make.
Loosening the bolt will soften the brakes, while tightening it will stiffen them.
And that’s it!
