Keeping your handbrake in the right position is a smart way to stay safe in dangerous situations. Plus, it’s easy to adjust! You can follow these steps to adjust the handbrake on your Ford Transit Connect:
- Pop off the rubber/vinyl fabric surrounding the base of the handbrake—you may need a screwdriver to complete this step.
- Locate the bolt at the base of your handbrake.
- Using your wrench, tighten or loosen the bolt according to the adjustment you’d like to make.
- Loosening the bolt will soften the brakes, while tightening it will stiffen them.
