We just got a new Subaru and we need to add it to our insurance. How do I go about doing that?

“To add a new car to your insurance you’ll need to contact your insurance provider to let them know about your intended policy change.
Luckily, it’s usually pretty easy to do this over the phone or online—although the process will be different depending on which insurance agency you have.
Let your provider know that you want to add another car to your policy. Depending on how many cars you have already, you may need to start a
new policy
, but most insurers will allow two to three cars on one policy.
Your insurer will ask you a few questions about your new car, including:
  • The make, model, and year
  • Your license plate number
  • Your car’s vehicle identification number (VIN)—this is usually on the dashboard on the driver’s side of the car
Once you provide that information, your insurer will be able to add the car to your policy.
