How do electric cars fare in Consumer Reports’ reliability tests?

Whenever I buy something, I always like to hear from other product owners to save me from making any potential mistakes. I’m considering an electric car, but I don’t want to hear from paid actors. How do electric cars fare in Consumer Reports reliability tests?

Great method, reviews are a great way to avoid buying a bad product. A recent Consumer Reports study shows that some newer EVs have some issues, covered under the warranty. According to the study, compact hybrids are deemed the highest in reliability.
Tesla Motors is currently the leader in the EV market however its cars are often ranked last for Consumer Reports reliability. The door handles, for example, are not widely supported as they don’t function very well with snow and cold weather.
At the bottom with Tesla are Lincoln, Genesis, Volkswagen, and Jeep. Most of the issues found were not life-threatening, but were based around some malfunctioning electronic features.
The rankings in reliability do not, however, indicate success in the market. Tesla which ranks the lowest still remains at the top of the market.
