Florida insurance costs are 52% higher than the national average! It’s no wonder you’re looking for ways to save.
Fortunately, there are steps you can take to lower your car insurance in Florida. Here are a few to get you started:
- Raise your deductible. When was the last time you checked your deductible? Most deductibles range from $500 to $1,000, with higher deductibles equating to lower insurance costs. For instance, if you have a $250 deductible, raising it to $500 or above will reduce your premium.
- Reduce your insurance coverage. Typically, it’s a good idea to have more coverage than you need, but opting for less coverage is a way to save a little money. For instance, if you’ve got roadside assistance or rental car coverage, you could remove them to lower your premium.
- Shop around and compare quotes. If it’s been a while since you got new quotes from multiple providers, now is a good time to do it again! Comparison shopping is easier than ever, and you may be able to find the same coverage with a different provider for way less.
