How can you insure a car registered to someone else?

My brother is going to start letting me drive his car to work, but I'm not registered with his insurance company. How can I insure a car that is registered to another person?

Great question! Insuring a car that is not in your name is easier than you may think, and only requires you to edit your
car insurance
policy.
Call your local insurance agent or access the company website to make changes to your current policy. Indicate that you would like to add the owner of a vehicle to your insurance policy as an additional interest.
If you made a change online, follow up with an insurance agent so that they can confirm the change in your policy.
Adding an additional interest should not reflect an increase towards your insurance premium. However, you should consult your insurance provider about any possible changes to your rate as a contingency.
You and your brother may also benefit from insurance discounts directed from bundling your cars together on the same policy. For additional information on bundling policies, check out the

Best of luck, and enjoy the new ride!
