How can you fix curb rash on a bumper?

While pulling into my friend’s driveway, I hit my bumper against the curb. Is there an easy way to fix the curb rash on my bumper?

I’m sorry to hear about the damage to your bumper, but you can fix curb rash damage relatively easily.
The easiest way to fix curb rash on your bumper is to use a scuff remover or scratch filler that can be purchased online or at most auto shops. These products are great for minor curb rash, but for more severe damage, you should:
  1. Clean the area using a degreaser or soap and water.
  2. Sand the area using coarse sandpaper and wash away the plastic particles.
  3. Fill any deeper scratches using a body filler and let it harden.
  4. Sand the area smooth to blend it in with the rest of the bumper.
  5. Wash the area and apply a few coats of primer.
  6. Smooth the area using fine sandpaper and apply two or three coats of paint.
  7. Apply a protective clear coat and let dry.
Finally, if you’d rather let a professional fix the curb rash for you, you can help cover the cost by using the
