How can you find out your car insurance company?

I really don’t do much driving and I realized that my car insurance has probably been taking out automatic payments. I want to cancel, but I can’t remember which company I’m using. How can I find out?

If you won’t be driving anymore,
canceling your car insurance
is a great way to save money.
Since you think your
car insurance
company has been taking out automatic payments, the first place you should check is your bank account. Call your bank and ask if they can confirm what company you’re insured with based upon your bank statements.
If, for some reason, this route does not work and you’re still unsure, try:
  • Checking your emails.
  • Looking for paperwork or
    proof of insurance
    in your home and car.
  • Checking with the DMV.
Ideally, this should lead you to the name of your car insurance company, allowing you to cancel your policy.
If, at any point, you decide you’re ready to get back on the road, shop for your car insurance policy with the
