How can you alleviate sciatica pain while driving?
I get really bad pain in my lower back whenever I drive for too long. Is there anything that I can do to help prevent back pain in the car? It makes it really difficult for me to drive long distances!
Watching your posture. Sitting up straight will help your back stay properly aligned.
Get a support cushion to help you maintain good posture.
Keep your legs level. Your legs should form a right angle with your hips.
Take breaks. It’s recommended that you take a 15-minute break for every two hours of driving, but don’t be afraid to take breaks more frequently if your back is bothering you.
Do some stretches. When you take breaks, make sure to get out of the car and move around a bit. Shake out your legs, walk around for a bit, or even do some light yoga to keep your muscles happy.
