How can we get more electric cars on the road?
A recent Jerry article that I read told me that electric cars aren’t as popular as gas-powered vehicles yet. If they aren’t selling as much as expected, how can we get more electric cars on the road?

There are three primary ways to get more electric cars on the road. The first is to improve the U.S. infrastructure grid so that electric car owners don’t have to plan trips or extended traveling destinations around sparsely placed electric charging stations. As
the grid expands
to support more charging stations, drivers in less densely-populated areas will be able to more comfortably make the switch to an EV without worrying about running out of power on the roadways. The second way to get more EVs on the road? The cost to make them has to come down, which will incentivize more buyers to go electric. Right now, an EV can cost close to thousands more than a traditional combustion vehicle and are 67% more expensive to insure. Those costs may pay for themselves over time, though. EV owners can expect fewer repairs, less money spent on fuel, and a guilt-free driving experience as far as the planet’s concerned.
The third way that we can get more electric cars on the roadways is to keep offering drivers federal tax incentives to buy electric cars. These tax credits are a major incentive for drivers to go green.
