How can I turn the radio on when the car is off?
I just got the newest Toyota Prius, which is a keyless push-to-start car. I’m a little confused about how to have the radio on but not the engine. How do I turn my car radio on if the car is off?

Congrats on the new Prius! Those cars are seriously cool and great for the environment. But getting comfortable in a new vehicle is always a little awkward—no matter how great the car is.
To turn the radio on when the car is off, you have to access accessory or ON mode. In a push-to-start vehicle, you’ll need to:
- Put your car in park
- Release your foot from the brake
- Push the start button
This should turn your engine off but keep your vehicle on. You should now be able to continue using the radio and other car features without your engine being on.
