How can I treat my car for bed bugs?
There was a bed bug infestation at my child’s daycare, so the parents were all called to pick their children up and bring them home. I took my child home and immediately washed anything and everything I could find, but I think my car might now have bed bugs. How can I treat my vehicle for bed bugs?

Oh no! Bed bugs can be a huge hassle to get rid of, but you did the right thing by washing everything you can, and the process for removing bed bugs from your home is similar to how you remove them from your vehicle.
When treating your car for bed bugs, act quickly and follow these steps:
- Clean your car inside and out. Visit the car wash to clean the exterior and remove any trash and loose belongings like papers or blankets.
- Shampoo and vacuum all the fabric in your vehicle and thoroughly wash the floor mats.
- Use a bed bug treatment or deterrent that is safe on fabric to treat the interior of your vehicle.
- If the above methods haven’t fully solved the problem, have a professional fumigate the inside of your car or try an at-home method.
While waiting for the treatments to dry or for the car to be fumigated, you should use the wait time to review your
