How can I tell if my car has an oil leak?

My friend told me they think my car has an oil leak. How can I tell if that is true? I don't know what to look for.

“It’s good that your friend is looking out for you! Usually, the first sign of an oil leak is a puddle of oil under your car. If you move your car a lot, you might not notice the leak if it is small. Check under your car first thing in the morning after it has been parked all night.
Here are a few other warning signs to look out for:
If the leak is small, it can be repaired. However, you don’t want to wait too long or else it could lead to costly engine trouble!
Now is a good time to make sure you have a reliable roadside assistance plan. Breakdowns can happen at any time and I don’t want you to get stuck anywhere!
