How can I take my written driving test online?

Is there any way for me to take the written portion of the driving exam online instead of going in person? I want to stay out of the DMV office as much as possible because I’m immunocompromised and I’m really worried about Covid.

It totally makes sense that you’d want to take your test remotely! Here are the steps you’ll need to follow in order to take your written driving test
online
:
  1. Contact your local DMV to make sure that an online exam is possible in your state.
  2. If an online exam is offered, visit the DMV website and schedule your exam for a time when you can focus completely on your exam.
  3. Before your test begins, study and practice the skills and knowledge you’ll need to pass.
  4. Use your state’s preferred platform to take the exam during your scheduled time slot.
