The Kia Soul +
odometer and trip computer are similar, but they’re not the same thing. Your car’s odometer measures how many miles the car has driven total, while the trip computer measures the mileage driven during a specific trip, so long as you set it correctly anyway. Do you know those up and down arrow menu buttons on the left side of your steering wheel? Use those to navigate to a screen that says “drive info”. You should see readouts for “trip,” in miles, as well as miles per gallon (MPG)—your fuel efficiency—and how much time you’ve spent driving.
While looking at this screen, simply press and hold the down arrow on your steering wheel, and in a moment you’ll see all of this information has been reset. And that’s it! That’s all there is to it.
Before you head out on this huge road trip, be sure to take a few safety precautions. You should have a mechanic inspect your tires and brakes, give you an oil change, and top off the car’s fluids.
