I got a weekend job on a farm and need to have a Swiss army knife on me all the time. Well, I forgot to close it all of the way, and when I sat down in my car, the blade ripped a hole in my pants and my car seat! How can I repair a car seat rip?

Those Swiss army knives are sharp, and this happens more than you think! In this situation, using a fabric adhesive will be your best bet.
Here are the supplies that you will need to repair a car seat rip:
  • Swatch of fabric that matches your upholstery
  • Fabric adhesive
  • Iron
And here’s how to do the repair:
  1. Cut a piece of fabric adhesive and place it into the hole.
  2. Cut a portion of the matching fabric and place it over the hole while leaving a small amount for overlapping.
  3. Once the iron heats up, iron the pieces of fabric together, and it should blend seamlessly.
