How can I remove the middle seat in a Ford Expedition?

What's the easiest way to take the middle seat out of a Ford Expedition? I’m moving from Alabama to Utah and I need the extra car space to carry some furniture with me.

Congratulations on your upcoming move! To remove the middle seat in a
Ford Expedition
, you’ll just need to unscrew a few bolts.
To remove the middle seat:
  • Remove the bolt covers located on the seat’s rails under the middle seat.
  • Using a socket wrench or ratchet, unscrew the bolts holding the rail to the floor of the car.
  • Remove the seat.
The easiest way to take the seat out of the car is to fold down the third row and take the middle seat out through the car’s rear door instead of through a passenger door.
Since you’re moving, make sure you register your vehicle in Utah and update your title. Also review your car insurance to ensure it meets
