How can I remove coins from my car's CD player?

My five-year-old unfortunately decided it would be a good idea to shove pennies into my car CD player. We’ve had a discussion about what does and does not go in the CD slot, but the pennies are still stuck in there! How do I get them out?

Kids can sure get creative with change! Luckily, if your kiddo is throwing pennies into the CD player, it’s easy to get them out:
  • Remove the car stereo by removing the trim and wiring harnesses
  • Aim the slot toward the ground and shake out loose coins
  • Use needle nose pliers or tweezers to carefully remove more coins
Keeping your CD player in working order can help you maintain the
