How can I prevent my car paint from fading in Nevada?

I live in Nevada, and I've noticed my car's paint fading rapidly within the past year. I want to keep my car looking good, but I don't have the funds for a paint job at the moment—so how can I prevent this from happening?

“Good on you for wanting to keep your car in tip-top shape! The best way to prevent your car’s paint from fading in a hot state like
Nevada
is to park it in a garage or carport. If that’s not an option, you may want to consider the following:
  • Apply a ceramic coating to the paint
  • Use UV protectants on trim, rubber, and plastic
  • Buy a car cover
Unfortunately, most
comprehensive coverage policies
on car insurance don’t cover paint fading, as they consider it normal wear and tear.
That said, you may be able to find a car insurance product or a warranty that may cover it if you shop around! The easiest way to do this is through the
Jerry
app—we’ll get you customized quotes from top-of-the-line providers in minutes so you can simply pick the policy that works best for you.
Best of luck with the paint, and stay cool out there!”
