That’s definitely a scary situation! Here’s what you can do to protect your car from flood water damage:
  • Make sure your car doors, windows, and sunroof are sealed shut. Everything should be closed and locked well before the storm comes.
  • Avoid driving through water. If the puddle is deep, safely find another way to go.
  • Park your car on higher ground. Higher areas are less likely to flood.
Floods can be really scary, and unfortunately, they can damage vehicles. If floods are common in your area, it’s a good idea to ensure your car is protected with
comprehensive
coverage.
