How can I preserve my car's paint from the New Mexico sun?

I live in New Mexico and my car's paint has started to dull in the sun. I really don't want to have to get it repainted, but I can't exactly stop the sun from shining. How can I preserve my car's paint job?

“Sun damage is definitely a concern if you live in the Southwest! The best way to preserve your car’s paint in
New Mexico
is to use a car cover or park your vehicle in a covered area.
In addition, you should wash and wax your vehicle twice a month, as waxing has been shown to minimize damage from the sun.
It’s good that you’re taking action before the paint has a chance to dull further—too much damage can mean an
expensive paint job
.
However, your paint job can also be damaged in accidents or natural disasters. If you want to ensure that you’re covered for any eventuality, you may want to look at adding comprehensive and collision coverage to your car insurance policy.
One great way to make sure you’re getting the best price on any coverage you add is to download the

Best of luck with preventing any more sun damage, and stay cool out there!”
