To paint your plastic truck mirrors, you’ll need to follow a few simple steps. But at the end, you’ll have plastic mirror panels that look like new without the price of an
expensive paint job
. Here’s how to do it:- Sand the mirror
- Tape off any areas that you don’t want to be painted, including the mirror itself
- Use a tack cloth or other lint-free cloth to remove any debris
- Spray adhesion spray to the mirror to promote paint adhesion. After that, you can apply primer.
- Paint the mirror the color that matches your vehicle (if you aren’t sure what color is correct, you can call your dealership or search online for the exact match)
- Top it all off with a gloss or clear coat to match the shine on your truck
