How can I make liquid soap to wash my car?

I make my own dish soap at home, so I thought I could do the same with liquid car soap to save a few bucks. With car soap, though, I'm not sure where to start. Do I need any special ingredients? How do I do it?

“Kudos to you for saving money creatively! To create liquid soap to wash your car, you only need three ingredients:
  • Water
  • Dishwashing soap
  • Baking soda
Combine about a quarter-cup baking soda and soap in a two-gallon bucket of water—it’s that simple!
Washing your car regularly can help you maintain its
