How can I lower my auto insurance as a member of the military?

I want to know how I can reduce my insurance costs. My car got hit in a parking lot and my insurance said I needed to pay my $500 deductible before they'd cover anything, which is also way too expensive.

, any claims you submit require you to pay your deductible first. If you’re not at fault, the other driver’s insurance will typically reimburse you or you won’t be required to pay your deductible.
You do have the ability to lower your deductibles, but this will increase the cost of your insurance. To save money, you could reduce the amount of
liability insurance
 you have.
If this isn’t an option, the easiest way to reduce the cost of your insurance is to shop around for better rates. Many insurance companies also offer military discounts.
