How can I lower car insurance premiums for a young driver?

I will have to set up car insurance for my son and daughter in the next year, but I know younger drivers are more expensive to insure. I want them to be able to drive legally, though, so how can I get lower insurance premiums for the young drivers in my house?

Kudos to you for wanting to make sure your children are insured! You’re right that younger drivers are usually more expensive to insure—but keeping them both on your family’s
car insurance
policy is a good way to save some money!
In many cases, auto insurers will offer discounts if there are
multiple drivers and vehicles
on the same policy, so having everyone on the same policy is a good place to start!
You can also look into other options like
driver training discounts
, as that will add to your children’s driving experience and credibility, or good student discounts, if they’re doing well in school.
In addition to preventative measures, regularly shopping around for the best car insurance quotes through the
Jerry
app is a great way to save money. We’ll get you customized quotes from top insurers so that all you need to do is pick the plan that works best for you. And once you’ve chosen one, we’ll even help you switch!
Congratulations to your kids on getting their licenses, and happy shopping!
