I called my local car dealership to look at a car I wanted to buy, but they said I need to bring proof of insurance before I can drive the car. I’m insured, but I don’t know where my information is or what it is. Where could I find my insurance policy number?

policy number is by looking on the back of your provided insurance ID cards, which were either mailed or emailed to you once your policy began.Your insurance policy number is an account number that is used to pull up account information or to make payments, so it is important to keep it somewhere that you will remember. Many choose to keep it in their glove box or wallet.
It’s also helpful to remember that you can locate your policy number on billing statements and on your declaration page.
