Many companies also make barriers, slings, or harnesses meant to protect your dog while in the vehicle. As these prevent them from moving around too much, they may prevent an excessive amount of shedding.
You could also try to brush your dog before they get into the car. This may reduce the amount they shed during a trip.
If you know you’ll be somewhere muddy or dirty, you can wipe their paws or carry pet-safe wipes. These will allow you to give them a quick clean-up before they hop in the car. If none of these options work, invest in a car vacuum or have your car detailed regularly.
