Sorry to hear about your back and shoulder pain! I’ve got some tips to help you out.
For good posture while driving, roll your shoulders back, keep your hips high, and use lumbar support if needed. Of course, it’s not quite as simple as that, but this checklist is a fantastic start to preventing discomfort behind the wheel.
  • Roll your shoulders back to avoid slumping and keep your neck lengthened.
  • Keep your hips high by adjusting your seat so that your knees are slightly lower than your hips.
  • Use lumbar support if necessary. There are various lower back lumbar supports you can buy online—or you could simply fold up a sweatshirt, towel, or blanket to place between the seat and your lower back.
  • Don’t sit too close to the wheel if you want to maintain good posture and hip health.
  • Adjust your mirrors so that you don’t have to strain when checking them.
Hope this helps!
