How can I get the insurance company to give me cash for my car?

I have wanted a new car for a while now but just can't afford one. Well, I was in an accident the other day and the damage to my car looks pretty bad. How can I make the insurance company give me cash for my car?

“We have all been there, getting tired of our current ride but not able to get a new one yet. Depending on the damage and your
policy coverage
, your insurance company may total your current car. In that case, you will get a check in the mail to put towards a new car.
Insurance companies are heavily regulated and have to follow specific guidelines, so unfortunately, there isn’t a way to make sure your car is deemed totaled. That decision is left solely to the adjuster. If you don’t have collision coverage, you will need to pay for any repairs to your car out of pocket.
If you find yourself on the market for another car, try downloading the

Good luck with the payout, and I hope you have a reliable ride soon!”
