How can I get tar off my car window?

A few days ago, I was driving behind a big pickup truck on a newly paved road and when I stopped for gas I noticed all these black specks of tar on my window. How can I get tar off my car window?

Specks of tar stuck to your car’s window can be really annoying. Luckily, there are a few ways you can handle this.
To get tar off car windows:
  • Purchase tar removal spray from an auto parts store and apply it to your windows as directed on the package.
  • Use WD-40 or Goo Gone—both are great products to get rid of tar, as well. Simply spray the area, let the product soak in, and wipe the tar away.
  • Try peanut butter. It sounds weird, but it works! Use a cloth to apply peanut butter to the areas of your car covered in tar. Let the peanut butter sit for around 25 to 35 minutes before taking a clean cloth and wiping the peanut butter and the tar away. Be sure to clean your windows well afterward.
While you wait for these products to do their thing, take some time to check out the
