How can I get out of my car insurance?

I signed up for an Esurance policy last month, but now I don't need it. My brother agreed to add me to his insurance since it'll cost less. How can I get out of my car insurance?

You should have no problem
canceling your Esurance
policy.
You sign a contract when you get a car insurance policy, but you aren’t obligated to keep the policy. However, every
car insurance company
has different rules and regulations regarding cancellation.
If you want to cancel your Esurance policy, call Esurance at 1-800-ESURANCE. Since you just started your policy last month, you may have to pay a cancellation fee.
Cancellation fees can vary, but typically you’re charged 10% of your remaining premium balance or a flat fee between $30 to $50. If you wait to cancel until your renewal period, Esurance shouldn’t charge a fee.
To find out what your exact cancellation fees may be, you’ll want to get in touch with an Esurance agent. They’ll be able to provide you more information regarding your policy and its cancellation.
Since you’re canceling your car insurance, now is the time to search for better rates. Use the
Jerry
app to compare quotes from dozens of companies to get the best rate possible for your car insurance needs.
