How can I get my Ram 2500 back after a repo?
I had my Ram 2500 repossessed about a month ago, but I won some big money at the casino this weekend. Can I get my truck back?
Congrats on the big winnings at the casino! And more good news: you should be able to get your Ram 2500 back if it hasn’t yet been sold at auction. There are three ways to try to get your truck back:
- Reinstate the car loan by paying any overdue amount plus fees and added interest
- Redeem the car loan, which means you pay the balance of the loan plus any added interest and fees
- Attend the auction and try to buy the vehicle back, although this can backfire and isn’t available to consumers in all states
If you decide to reinstate the car loan, make sure that you commit to paying on time each month so as not to lower your credit score. You’ll also need to make sure your car insurance is up to date and continually paid in full.
If you’re worried about overpaying for your car insurance, there’s no need to try to win it big—just use Jerry to find a cheaper policy. Compare dozens of quotes from top providers, and Jerry will handle all the paperwork necessary to switch your policies. It’s that easy!
