How can I get gum off my car's interior?

I stepped in gum and it got on my car seat. I tried to scrape it up, but it seems really stuck on there! I know how to get gum out of hair, but I'm clueless when it comes to car seats. So, how can I get the gum off of my car's interior?

“How annoying! While tasty, gum is probably one of the worst things to step in and never fun to get in your car. Thankfully, there are only a few steps you’ll need to take to remove it:
  • Apply ice to the gum. Ice will harden the gum and make it less sticky. If possible, you can try to pry or scrape off the gum with a palette knife or spatula. A credit card can work as well.
  • If you have cloth seats: Use vinegar and a sponge to remove any remaining gum.
  • If you have leather seats: Use soap and water.
  • For any gum remaining: Use duct tape to remove it; the adhesive on the tape should lift any remaining pieces! Once fully removed, you can use upholstery cleaner or leather cleaner on your seats to remove any remaining residue or smell.
