Here are a few options that I hope will be helpful for you:
- Talk to a mechanic. Ask them what the problem is and if there is a cheaper way to fix it. They might have a financing option to help you pay for repairs.
- See if you can get used parts rather than new parts for the repairs.
- Look for discounts. Look over your credit card, roadside assistance, and any other memberships you have that might include car repair or mechanical help
- If it seems like an easy fix, you can attempt to do repairs yourself. Be very careful doing this as there are a lot of toxic and dangerous parts inside of your car and you don’t want to get hurt.
- Check your warranty; some repairs might still be covered.
