How can I fix a car frame?

I already know it was a bad idea, but I was trying to drift and hit the only curb in an empty parking lot. Sadly, I bent my rear cross fender. How can I fix a car frame?

Yes, practicing car racing moves from the movies is never a good idea! Unfortunately, car frame repairs must be done by a professional auto body shop.
You have two options:
  • Report the accident to your
    car insurance
provider and file a claim under collision coverage.
  • Get a quote from a local body shop to see if you can afford to pay for the damage out of pocket.
The benefit of reporting it to your insurance agency is that you will only be responsible for your
collision deductible
. The downside is that this will count as an at-fault accident and you will see an increase to your premium.
Smaller frame repair jobs can cost as little as $600-$1,000, but larger ones can be up to $10,000.
If you choose to put in an insurance claim and see an increase in your premium, download the
Jerry
app and look for a better rate. Jerry is an app that shops prices with over 50 different insurance companies and delivers the lowest rates straight to your phone in seconds. Jerry customers save an average of $879 a year.
