How can I extend my car battery’s life?

I just replaced my second battery in seven months of owning my new car, and I think something may be wrong. What are some good ways to extend a car's battery life?

I’m sorry to hear about your battery troubles! Car batteries can be expensive to replace consistently, and , limiting the length of your drives and keeping your battery tightly fastened are great ways to extend the battery life of your car.
Another great practice is to get in the habit of completely turning off all car lights when you exit your vehicle. Keeping electronics on while the car is off greatly reduces the lifespan of your batteries because the engine is not on to recharge your usage, so making sure all of your lights are off will sustain your battery for much longer!
Other great tips for conserving battery include:
  • Controlling battery corrosion
  • Testing your car battery often
  • Don’t use electronics while idling
If you want to make sure that all aspects of your car are in good shape, you may also want to take a moment to review your car insurance policy, too. To do this easily and quickly, check out the
