How can I distinguish between comprehensive and collision insurance?
"What is the difference between comprehensive and collision insurance? I drive an F-150 and live in Arizona."
“Collision car insurance is designed to protect you and your vehicle in the event of an accident.
If you get into an accident with an object or another driver, collision will pay for your repairs, minus a deductible.
Comprehensive car insurance, on the other hand, protects your vehicle from damages arising from sources other than a collision.
These sources will be specified in your policy but may include perils such as:
- natural disaster
- fallen objects
