How can I dispute what is listed on my CLUE report?

How can I fix my CLUE report? I was about to switch my policy over to Safeco, but they are saying that an at-fault accident is coming up on my driving history. I have never had an accident before, and I have no idea what they are talking about.

To dispute something on your CLUE report, contact LexisNexis to get a copy and then reach out to your insurance carrier at the time of the supposed incident.
The first step is to order a complete copy of the
CLUE report
for your records from LexisNexis, the consumer reporting agency that produces the reports:
Order by phone: 866-312-8076
Order online:
www.lexisnexis.com
A CLUE report collects seven years’ worth of auto and property claim information submitted by past insurance companies. If you have not had a prior claim, then it could be that one of your prior carriers submitted the information incorrectly and you need to
dispute a claim
.
After you have reviewed the report and you can see what the company is referencing, the next step is to get in touch with the insurance carrier you had at that time. They can compare the CLUE report to your claims file and then update it with any necessary changes.
Finally, once CLUE updates its system, all insurance companies will have access to your accurate claim history. Then, you’ll get a more accurate insurance rate based on your actual driving history.
