How can I clean stains off my car seats?
My eight-year-old daughter is obsessed with this slime stuff all the kids are making, and the stuff is seriously sticky! She spilled a bunch in the seat on the way home from school. I got most of it up, but it left this glittery green stain and I’m not sure how to clean it. Any tips on getting stains off of my car seats?

Sorry to hear that your car has been slimed! This stuff is becoming a real household menace! Luckily, the stain can be removed with a few different household items and some elbow grease.
- Try a water, dish soap, and vinegar mixture in a gallon of hot water. Use a cloth to apply the mixture to the seat and a soft brush to work it into the stain. Rinse the seat with clean water after allowing the solution to sit for a few minutes.
- Apply laundry detergent in the same way that the vinegar mixture was used. Use a bucket of hot water to dilute the soap, apply the mixture with a cloth, and scrub the stain with a brush. Use cold water to rinse the seat and allow the area to dry fully.
- Create a baking soda and water mixture (¼ cup baking soda to 1 cup warm water) and apply it gently to the stain. Work the solution in with a soft brush and allow to sit for 30 minutes before rinsing.
