How can I clean my leather car seats?

I’ve been using my dad’s old Volvo while my car’s in the shop, and I noticed his leather seats are pretty dirty. I’m really grateful to him for letting me use his car, so I want to clean his seats up for him. How can I clean leather car seats?

It’s a very nice gesture of gratitude to clean up your dad’s seats; I’m sure he’ll be very happy!
To clean leather car seats, start by mixing warm water and liquid soap such as Castile or dish soap in a bucket. You’ll want to have about five times more water than soap, so you shouldn’t see very many suds or bubbles–if any.
Use a clean cloth and dampen it with the solution. Wipe down the seats, but be careful not to over saturate them with too much of the solution as it could cause water damage to the seats.
With a second cloth, wipe the seats dry. Allow the seats to air dry fully for several hours with either the windows down or the doors open for maximum air circulation. Once the seats are dry, you can apply car seat leather conditioner to the seats as well for extra shine and protection.
Cleaning your dad’s leather seats is a great gesture, but you can take it one step further and help him save hundreds of dollars on his
