I have a car I’ve been holding onto and insuring for my niece while she’s away. She’s coming home soon. How do I check which car insurance company this car is under?

The easiest way to find the name of the insurance company’s name is by finding your
proof of insurance
. This is usually kept somewhere safe or easy to access while driving. Check:- The glove box of the car
- Inside the car manual
- The visor
- Your wallet
If you can’t find the policy card, you can check a few more places:
- Bills from an insurance company
- Bank account statements for auto payments from an insurance company
- Your local DMV
- Your local state’s department of insurance
