How can I change my auto insurance company's 50/50 liability decision in my claim?

I was in an accident where someone pulled into my lane from stopped traffic and I hit their car because I could not stop in time. My insurance adjuster said he will try to get the claim settled at 50/50, but I do not think that is right. How do I dispute this?

“You do have the right to dispute the insurance company’s liability decision, but you risk getting a less favorable outcome.
If the other insurance company is also disputing liability, you will have to use your
collision coverage
for your damages, but this will allow your insurance company to subrogate and attempt to recover money from the other insurance company. This may go to arbitration for a liability dispute, or the adjusters may settle prior to arbitration.
If the points of impact are front bumper and rear bumper, then 50% liability may be the best you can hope for. It will depend on the statements of the drivers, points of impact, the police report, witness statements, and any other evidence available.”
